South Trip
Eco6 went up to the Negev in the South of Israel. They visited Gur & Irit Rotem's Adamama farm in the Northern Negev who are doing wonderful work in demonstrating ecological, sustainable living in the desert. Next, Eco6 students volunteered with Bustan and helped construct mud eco-domes for the Bedioun village of Qasr al-Sir. Then, the group headed to Beer Sheva where they enjoyed delicious sandwiches at Saba Jebeto and volunteered with Earth's Promise and helped prepare the Kalisher Community Garden for their 2nd annual Ethiopica Festival. The rest of the trip involved some serious hiking through Nahal Tzin to the Akev Spring and in the Ramon Crater.
